1. Who you are dealing with
COPU is an independently developed game, provided by its developer. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean that developer, and "you" means the person playing COPU.

That address is where support requests, complaints, and withdrawal statements go, and it reaches the person responsible directly.
2. Accepting these terms
By downloading, installing, or playing COPU you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not play the game — and if you have already installed it, uninstall it.
You need to be old enough to enter into a binding agreement where you live. If you are not, you may play only with the permission of a parent or guardian, who accepts these terms on your behalf and is responsible for any purchase made on their device.
Google and Apple also apply their own terms to the app store you use and the payment you make there. Those terms are between you and them.
3. Your licence to play
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and play COPU on devices you control, for your own private entertainment. That is all the licence covers. You are not buying the game or any part of it, and you do not acquire ownership of anything in it.
4. Your COPU account
COPU is playable without signing in. Progress then lives only on your device, and is gone if you lose the device or uninstall the app.
If you want your progress to survive that, you can link a Google or Apple account. From that point the account is how we recognise you. You are responsible for keeping access to it, because anyone who can sign in with it can reach your progress, your COPUCOIN, and the option to delete everything. Use one account for your own play; do not sell, rent, or share it.
If you sign in on a device that already has local progress, the game asks you which save to keep. We never merge two saves, and we keep a backup of a save that is replaced, so a wrong tap does not have to be the end of the story — write to us and we will look.
5. Rules of use
While playing COPU, do not:
- modify the app, or use a modified client, emulator manipulation, memory editor, automation, bot, or any other tool intended to change how the game behaves or to obtain COPUCOIN, boosts, stars, or progress you did not earn or pay for;
- interfere with our servers, attempt to circumvent App Check or our purchase validation, or probe, scan, or overload the service;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app, except to the extent that mandatory law — for example the interoperability rules of EU software law — gives you that right despite this clause;
- copy, distribute, sell, sublicense, or publicly present COPU, its artwork, sound, or name as your own, or use them commercially without our written permission;
- use COPU in a way that breaks the law where you are.
Fair play matters here for a plain reason: COPU is single-player, so cheating mostly costs you the game you paid attention to — but a client that fakes purchases or fabricates currency takes real money from us, and we act against that.
6. COPUCOIN and boosts
COPUCOIN is the in-game currency. Boosts are in-game items you obtain with it or by playing. Both exist only inside COPU, and it matters that you understand what they are:
- They have no monetary value outside the game, and they are not electronic money, a payment instrument, or an investment.
- You receive a limited licence to use them in the game. You do not own them, and they are not your property.
- They cannot be transferred to another player or another account, sold, traded, or exchanged for money or anything of value.
- They are tied to your COPU account. If you delete your account, the balance and the boosts go with it and cannot be restored — this is spelled out again before you confirm deletion.
- An unused balance is not refundable on its own, except where consumer law gives you a refund right. Buying coins you never spend is a choice, not a deposit with us.
We may change the price of coin packs, what a boost does, or what things cost in the game, as part of balancing it. We will not take away COPUCOIN you already bought or boosts you already hold, except where they were obtained by breaking section 5 or through a payment that was reversed.
7. Purchases
COPU can be played to the end without spending anything. Optional purchases of COPUCOIN are available in the game.
Every payment is taken by Google Play or the App Store, using the payment method on your store account, at the price shown to you before you confirm — including applicable tax. We do not see or store your card details. Our provider RevenueCat confirms the purchase with the store and tells our servers which account to credit; the coins then appear on the account you were signed in with.
If a purchase is taken but the coins do not arrive, contact us with the store's order reference and we will fix it. If a payment is later reversed or refunded by the store, we may remove the corresponding COPUCOIN, including any items bought with it.
8. Right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer in the European Union or the EEA, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract for digital content. COPUCOIN is digital content that is delivered to your account immediately.
When you confirm a purchase, you expressly request that we begin performance immediately, and you acknowledge that you therefore lose your right of withdrawal once the coins have been delivered to your account. That is the legal consequence of getting the coins straight away instead of in fourteen days.
Until that delivery happens, you may withdraw by writing to commonlistapp@gmail.com with a clear statement to that effect. Separately from this, Google Play and the App Store operate their own refund policies, which are often more generous — a refund request there is usually the fastest route, and nothing in this section limits it.
9. If something is wrong
We provide COPU with reasonable skill and care, and the game must be what a reasonable player would expect from the description in the store. If it is faulty, does not match its description, or a purchase does not work, your statutory rights — including any right to have it brought into conformity, to a price reduction, or to a refund — apply in full, and this agreement does not exclude or limit them.
Send complaints to commonlistapp@gmail.com. Describe the problem, your device and operating-system version, and the COPU version. We reply as soon as we reasonably can, and in any event within the time your consumer law requires.
10. Availability and changes
COPU needs your device to work, and cloud save needs an internet connection and our providers to be up. We do not promise the service is uninterrupted or error-free, and maintenance or a provider outage can make cloud features temporarily unavailable. Local play is designed to keep working when that happens.
We update the game: levels, balance, features, and prices can change. Where an update materially reduces what you already paid for, or where consumer law requires it, we tell you in advance and, where the law gives you that option, let you end the agreement.
We may also change these terms — for a new feature, a new purchase type, or a change in the law. We publish the new version here with a new date, and for a material change we notify you in the app before it takes effect. If you do not accept the new terms, stop playing and, if you want, delete your account.
11. Ending this agreement
You can end it at any time: uninstall the game, and, if you had an account, delete it as described on the Account Deletion page. Deleting your account destroys your progress and your COPUCOIN balance permanently.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you seriously or repeatedly break section 5, or if we must do so by law. Where it is proportionate, we warn you first and give you a chance to put it right; where the breach is manipulation of purchases or currency, we may act immediately. If we terminate your account for a reason that is not your fault, you keep any refund rights the law gives you.
12. Our liability
We are liable to you for damage we cause intentionally or by gross negligence, for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, and in any other case where liability cannot be excluded by law — including our liability under consumer and product-liability rules. None of that is limited by anything below.
Otherwise, and to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when this agreement was made, for loss of profit, revenue, or business, or for loss of data or progress caused by something outside our control — a device failure, a store account you lost access to, or a third-party outage. We do not exclude liability for losing data that was in our care.
COPU is for private use. If you use it for a business purpose, we have no liability for business losses.
13. Intellectual property
COPU — its code, levels, artwork, music, sound, the name, and the look of the game and this site — belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by copyright and other rights. Section 3 gives you the right to play it; it gives you nothing else.
Recording your own gameplay and publishing it, including on a monetised channel, is fine with us, as long as you do not present COPU as your own work and do not distribute the game or its assets.
14. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of the country in which we are established. If you are a consumer, that never deprives you of the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you habitually live, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of that country — which is the practical point: you do not have to litigate abroad to hold us to this agreement.
Talk to us first — most problems are a mistake we can simply fix. If we cannot resolve it, you may be entitled to use an out-of-court dispute resolution scheme for consumers in your country; we will tell you whether we take part in a particular scheme when a dispute arises.
